Katran's Costume - Detail 2

A bit of detail of the bead strings and Katran's necklace..

I've had to wing it a little with the beads. (Yes, I am that obsessive about the detail, wanting them to match the beads on the wig the actress wore.) I have one close-up picture of one of the original braids which I took at Cyan headquarters where the costume is on display, and have been slowly hunting for beads to match them. For their placement, I could only follow the photo so far.

The necklace frustrated me for a long time. It's surprisingly difficult to find tribal-looking disc-shaped beads in the right size and color, of natural material, which don't cost 50 cents apiece. These are plastic buttons, which I'm not thrilled about, but the effect is pretty close. I recently found some better beads for the black ones, so I'll re-string the necklace with those.
