Description
This was my entry for the back side of the shirt in the 2009 Mysterium Logo contest.
It was blown out of the water by Shoom'lah's in-your-face-scary-awesome Back Logo entry. Hers definitely had more graphic appeal. I put a great deal of time and effort into mine but I feel sort of unsatisfied by it. I really wanted to give a sense of celebration to the logo for Mysterium's tenth anniversary, but I am a bit timid when it comes to graphic design. I think I should have done something more exuberant with the confetti. :/
I still like the overall idea of it.. it's framed with the D'ni number ten in the background, and the curve has become a blanket by which Falling Man, the traditional symbol of Myst and Mysterium, is being tossed up in the air by celebrating fans, drawn in the style of Uru avatars.
The front entry I made to match this one did win for the front side of the shirt, though.
