[Moved to scrapbook because I have photos of the finished costume now. Check 'em out!]
Photo by Molly McIsaac of [link] (thank you Molly!) Cosplay and background manipulation by *HylianJean (sorry I am not very good at painting backgrounds! still haven't done a real proper photoshoot with either of my Zora costumes.) Water stock by ~TheArtistDarklady
Character: Queen Rutela of the Zoras From The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Character design copyright Nintendo
Most of her airbrushing is done now. In this picture she is still missing a few details and her pink overskirt, and her hair falls are now a little longer.. And those.. wretched.. darts!
But she has her headtail dots (they're shiny and iridescent! ) and lots of color correction, and her head is WAY more comfortable to wear now.
Anyhoo, you can find more photos of her in my deviantart gallery and LOTS more (older and progress) photos in my cosplay.com gallery. As always, I thank you for your comments. (unless they're about how scary she is. I know.)
Thank you! Unfortunately these are the most fragile little eyes. They're likely to be ruined by chemical interaction, and since my vision is already inhibited I can't afford smudges. Also yes, they're so close to my real eyes that my lashes touch them. It's a conundrum...
The zoras freak me out but the cosplay looks really good, recognised it soon as I saw the thumbnail on the front page Must've taken a while to balance the headpiece I gather!
Thank you! The headpiece doesn't need much balancing, it's fairly lightweight. But the headform I built it on was a little too big so it used to sit too low in the back and pressed hard on my eyebrows. Now it's fixed with additional straps and interior padding so it doesn't hit pressure points anymore and all I need is a little bit of extra strength in my neck.
This costume is your best yet.
