San, from Princess Mononoke
I wanted to do a cross-legged, seated pose for some of these photos because of some artwork I found many years ago which depicted San sitting this way with a wolf brother, laughing and light-hearted. Most images of San show her fierce and angry, but she has a tranquil side and a sense of humor.
I love the little flowers at her feet. Ed was wonderful to work with as usual and I thank him very much for shooting with me.
